Thank you for joining the future champions
The Crooked Horn Canadian Junior Rodeo Association is a non-profit organization. CHCJRA provides young rodeo contestants aged six to eighteen with the opportunity to compete at some of the most prestigious events in the sport. This organization provides its members with the developmental stepping stones and competitive opportunities to become future rodeo champions.
Since the CHCJRA started we have seen member numbers increasing. From our start in 2019, we had just under 60 members and in our 2024 season, we had 150. Our membership holders range from young contestants trying the sport of rodeo for the first time, to Provincial High School Rodeo champions, Junior World Champions, and Reserved Junior World Champions.
Over the last 5 years, we have had 3 Calgary Stampede Novice Saddlebronc Champions, the 2023 and 2024 Bull Riders Canada season leaders, and national champions all of who have been a part of CHCJRA since the beginning. In 2022 the Junior World Finals Junior division Bull riding World Champion. The 2022 and 2023 Junior World Finals Rookie Bareback champion. In 2024 3 of our members made it to the Finals at the Junior World Finals and one hardworking member won the 2024 Junior Bareback world champion title. Multiple High School Rodeo Association Champions in both roughstock and timed events. And most recently 4 top 10 High School National Finals Finishes. This is just a peek at the ever-growing list of accomplishments by CHCJRA members.
As of today, this association has over 20 members attending post-secondary education institutions via rodeo scholarships.
